This month, Gold Coast Beverage celebrates its 10-year anniversary as part of Reyes Beverage Group. The history of Reyes Beverage Group is filled with milestones of growth, and the acquisition of Gold Coast Beverage is particularly noteworthy as one of the largest acquisitions in our history.

Gold Coast Beverage was acquired in 2015, operating out of facilities located in Doral, Pompano and Rockland Key. In 2017, the Pompano facility underwent a state-of-the-art renovation, which was completed in 2018.

Today, Gold Coast Beverage stands as Florida’s largest beer wholesaler, and with the inclusion of spirits to its portfolio in 2023, has established itself as a total beverage distributor.

Over the years, Gold Coast Beverage has collected numerous achievements that underscore its commitment to a winning culture and continual growth. Gold Coast has been named a Top Workplace for the past seven consecutive years and in 2022, the team won the #1 Top Workplace award from the South Florida Sun Sentinel for its emphasis on a culture supported by a family atmosphere focusing on employee happiness and retention.

Gold Coast Beverage is currently led by Frank Schwiep, President of Gold Coast Beverage. Schwiep brings over 30 years of experience in the beverage industry, having held various roles at the distributor level and spending more than 13 years on the supplier side.

In 2017, Gold Coast Beverage was awarded the Tiger Joe Award from the Reyes Family of Businesses – a distributor of the year award for distributors that have demonstrated the qualities of a well-run business: leadership, execution, safety and wellness, quality and profitability.
